ALFRED, NY — The Alfred University volleyball team lost to visiting Keuka College, 3-1, Wednesday evening at the McLane Center. The Saxons (5-5) won the first game, 27-25, before dropping the final three by scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-12.

Junior Emily Crosby (Fairport, NY/Fairport) paced Alfred with nine kills, two service aces and 13 digs. Freshman Tara Barone (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) had 14 assists, while freshman Chelsea Hall (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) (seven digs, two blocks), Samantha Wood (Newfield, NY/Newfield) and Paige Jensen (Weiser, ID/Weiser) (one block) each had six kills.

Alfred is in action this weekend, Sept. 25 and 26, at the Empire 8 crossover tournament, hosted by RIT.
