Career Center hosts annual, multi-faceted engineering fair
The Alfred University Career Development Center will host the annual Engineering Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, from noon-3 p.m. in the Powell Campus Center Knight Club. This event is free and open to students, alumni, and community members.
Professional dress is required for this event, and it is suggested that participants bring several copies of their resume. The companies who are represented will be recruiting for internships, co-op, and permanent positions for college-educated candidates.
The Engineering Career Fair is being co-sponsored by World Kitchen, LLC and SCHOTT North America, Inc. Candidates will be able to meet with representatives from both of these companies as well as more than 25 other companies who will have representation at the fair.
To promote an even higher level of networking and recruitment, an invite-only networking reception will take place after the fair from 6-7:30 p.m. at Susan Howell Hall. Employers who selected the networking opportunity, as well as faculty, staff, and administration will be present along with an impressive array of candidates who receive a golden invitation to attend.
Employers seeking doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degree candidates will be present to speak with and recruit candidates for their current openings. For a growing list of attending employers, please visit the Alfred University Career Development Center Web site: http://www.alfred.edu/cdc.
