CHURCHVILLE, NY – The Alfred University volleyball team was shut out by host Roberts Wesleyan Wednesday evening in a match played at Churchville-Chili High School near Rochester.

Junior Emily Crosby (Fairport, NY/Fairport) had three kills and seven digs for the Saxons (5-12), who lost by scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-17.

Freshman Paige Jensen (Weiser, ID/Weiser) had two kills and two digs; freshman Janelle Gallipeau (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) had nine assists; and senior Erika Huyck (Forestville, NY/Forestville) and sophomore Kellie Hughson (Albion, NY/Charles D’Amico) had seven and six gigs, respectively.

Alfred is in action next on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at Cazenovia.
