Registration is under way for the Alfred University Women’s Leadership Academy’s Women’s Conference 2010 slated for Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Powell Campus Center.

The conference vision is to reveal a spirit of confidence and determination in emerging women leaders, however men are encouraged to attend.

The speakers and break-out sessions will provide wisdom, advice, and encouragement on topics ranging from creative leadership skills, to working in a male-dominated field, to a meditation workshop, and more. The day will also include a networking lunch.

The breakout session include: “Women in Media,” “Careers, Women and Choices to Make,” “Creative Leadership,” “Facing Adversity with Integrity and Confidence,” “Title IX: Women + Sport + Equity = Success,” “Meditation Workshop,” “Woman in a Man’s World,” and “Non-Profit Careers and Leadership.” Special panel discussions include “Major Women” and “Managing Independence.”
