ITHACA, NY – Alfred University junior Griffin Currie (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) and senior Autumn McLain (Oneida, NY/Oneida) lost their first doubles quarterfinal match Saturday at the New York State women’s tennis championships.

Currie and McLain fell 8-1 to top-seeded Hillary Drewry and Stephanie Finn of St. Lawrence. The state tournament, hosted by Ithaca College, was held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15-17.

AU finishes its 2010 season with a record of 4-8 (2-6 Empire 8).
