PITTSFORD, NY -- The Alfred University women's soccer team wrapped up its 2010 Empire 8 Conference slate with a 4-0 loss at St. John Fisher Wednesday evening.

Alexa Capozzi scored twice and Sarah Bihl had two assists for the host Cardinals (5-9-2, 2-4-1 Empire 8), who broke open a close 1-0 game with three second-half goals. With the loss, Alfred falls to 3-7-3 overall (0-8-0 Empire 8).

Senior goalie Shanna Ewoldt (Tuscon, AZ/Waubansie Valley) made 12 saves for Alfred. Fisher goalkeeper Jessica Plukas made stopped one shot en route to the shutout.

Alfred is in action next on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. at Roberts Wesleyan.
