ITHACA, NY—The Alfred University women’s basketball team was defeated by host Ithaca, 93-42, in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Freshman forward Grace Williamson (Olean, NY/Olean) scored 12 points, adding a game-high eight rebounds to pace the Saxons (4-6, 0-2 Empire 8). Senior guards Lynsday Murphy (Almond, NY/Hornell) and Courtney Lincoln (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo) each scored six points, picking up four and three boards respectively.

Riley Dunn scored a game-high 17 points, adding four rebounds to pace the Bombers (7-5, 3-0 Empire 8) attack. Jordan Confessore scored 10 points, and Elissa Klie and Devin Shea each scored 10 points and four rebounds

Alfred is in action next on Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at Utica College.
