NORTHAMPTON, MA -- The Alfred University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the ECAC indoor championships Friday and Saturday at Smith College.

Neither the AU men nor women posted a team score, but several Saxon athletes turned in solid performances.

Senior Shawn Ross (Ticonderoga, NY/Ticonderoga) was 14th in the shot put (14.51 meters) for the AU men. Sophomore Jeremy Weaver (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic), junior Rich Scott (Eden, NY/Eden), sophomore Chris Lopez (Rochester, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) and freshman Craig Gaymon (White Plains, NY/White Plains) finished 12th in the 4X200-meter relay (1:31.69).

Freshman Rebecca Graudons (Mayfield, NY/Mayfield) took 12th in the pole vault (3.37 meters) to lead the Alfred women. Freshman Eliza Parker (Oswego, NY/Oswego) was 43rd in the 55-meter hurdles (9.27 seconds).
