ALFRED, NY—Stefan Dabkowski (Latham, NY/Shaker (SUNY Delhi)), a junior attack on the Alfred University men’s lacrosse team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Offensive player of the week.

Dabkowski was honored for his play in the Saxons’ victories over visiting Morrisville State and Medaille College, which kept AU unbeaten at 6-0. Against Morrisville he scored a game-high six goals to lead AU to an 11-9 victory on Wednesday. He tallied seven points (five goals, two assists) in a 21-6 win over Medaille Saturday.

For the season he currently ranks third on the team in points (24) and is second in goals (21).

Alfred returns to action Saturday, March 26, at 1 pm, when they take on host Thiel.
