PITTSFORD, NY – The Alfred University men’s tennis team lost Tuesday afternoon at host Nazareth College, dropping the Saxons to 0-2 in Empire 8 Conference play.

AU (2-4 overall) was swept in three doubles matches. The Saxons got singles wins from sophomore Stefan Nonnenmann (New Providence, NJ/New Providence), 6-0, 6-1 in fifth singles, and freshman Peter Benoit (Gasport, NY/Barker), 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 10-6 in sixth singles.

Alfred is in action next on Thursday, April 7, at 4 p.m. at home against Elmira.
