ELMIRA, NY – The Alfred University men’s tennis team lost 6-3 at Elmira College Thursday afternoon.

AU (3-5, 0-3 Empire 8) got singles wins from junior Nathan Garletts (Havertown, PA/Haverford), 6-0, 6-1 in third singles, and sophomore Stefan Nonnenmann (New Providence, NJ/New Providence), 7-6 (7-1), 7-5.

The Saxons got one doubles win: seniors Nick Schneider (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Connor Houghton (Orleans, MA/Nauset Regional), 9-8 (8-6) in first doubles.

Alfred is in action next on Saturday, April 9, at noon against visiting Ithaca.
