AU to host weeklong, evening tennis camp for young people
6/28/11

Alfred University will host a tennis camp for students entering grades seven-12, Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5, from 4 -6:30 p.m. at the University’s tennis courts. Training at the beginner through advanced levels will be provided.

The camp is directed and coached by Dave Brady, tennis coach at Alfred-Almond Central School.

The camp features fundamental instruction in stroke technique; footwork and court strategy; and technique training including serve, forehand, backhand and volley. The sessions will provide an opportunity for students to have fun as they improve their stroke production and enhance their understanding of the game of tennis.

Campers should bring their own tennis racquets, if they have them, and something to drink. They should wear light, loose, comfortable clothing and good quality sneakers.

To register, please complete an enrollment form (http://www.alfred.edu/sum...) and send it along with a $150 payment to the Alfred University Office of Summer Programs by Friday, July 15. For more information, call 607.871.2612, or e-mail summerpro@alfred.edu.
