Alfred University student’s cast-iron sculpture selected for 64 Arts National Juried Art Exhibit

"Iron Roll," a cast-iron sculpture by Alfred University senior Stephen C.K. Rooney, was recently selected to be shown at the 64 Arts National Juried Art Exhibition at the Buchanan Center for the Arts in Monmouth, Ill. The exhibition will be open from Sept. 9 through Oct. 22, 2011.

Rooney is currently enrolled in a dual degree program at AU. He plans to complete a bachelor of fine arts degree as well as a bachelor of science degree in materials science and engineering. The son of Stephen and Cindy Rooney, Rooney lives in Montclair, N.J., and graduated from Montclair High School in 2008.

The 64 Arts National Juried Art Exhibition highlights quality visual artworks from artists across the country. 64 artists were selected from the entries to have their work exhibited at the Buchanan Center.
