ALFRED, NY - Two members of the Alfred University men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams have earned weekly honors from the New York State Collegiate track Conference.

The NYSCTC announced its weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 15. Sophomore Rebecca Graudons (Mayfield, NY/Mayfield) was named Female Field Athlete of the Week and senior Rich Scott (Eden, NY/Eden) was named Male Track Athlete of the Week. They were honored for their performance at the RIT Tiger Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Graudons won the high jump (1.58 meters) and pole vault (3.35 meters). Both marks met ECAC qualifying standards and Graudons’ height in the high jump tied the school record set in 1999 by Jen Brewer. Scott won the 400-meter dash (51.04 seconds) and 200-meter dash (23.08 seconds).
