Faculty Daughter's Band has Chance to Play Grammys
Alfred-Almond graduate Leah Crosby, daughter of faculty members Luanne and Steve Crosby, and Alfred-Almond classmates Jonathan Mix and Zach Wilcox started a band, the Tuesday Tuesdays, in 2011 at the end of their senior year. They play folk music and are multi-talented in both their instrument playing and vocal abilities.
The band has been active in the area since March, and now has the chance to play music at the Grammys live on TV, if they can receive enough votes.
The contest is being run through Facebook at http:// cbs.com/band; users can type The Tuesday Tuesdays and vote for them by scrolling down past their video on the page and hitting the big yellow button that says "Vote for this band!" 10 times every day until Tuesday, Jan. 24, when the results will be revealed.
