Three AU women's basketball players remain in national stats rankings

ALFRED, NY -- The NCAA has released its latest statistics report for women's basketball and three Alfred University players remain listed in the Division III report.

Sophomore forward Grace Williamson (Olean, NY/Olean), senior point guard Kacey Kwiecien (Perry, NY/Perry) and freshman shooting guard Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Mercy) are listed in the top 50 of the national rankings.

Williamson ranks second in the country in double-doubles with 16, and is 30th in rebounding (10.8 boards per contest). The Saxons’ leading scorer (15.2 points per game) and rebounder, Williamson has double-doubles in each of her last six games. She leads the Empire 8 Conference in rebounding and ranks second in field goal percentage (.500) and blocked shots (1.6 per game) and is third in scoring.

Kwiecien ranks fifth nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.67 assists per turnover. She leads the Empire 8 in that category and ranks second in the conference in assists per game (4.7).

Cleary ranks 35th in the country in free throw percentage at 85.6 percent. The Saxons' second-leading scorer with 14.5 points per game, Cleary ranks second in the Empire 8 in foul shooting and is sixth in scoring.

Alfred (7-15, 0-11 Empire 8) is in action next on Friday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. at home against Utica.
