ALFRED, NY - Ali Garcia (Salt Lake City, UT/Judge Memorial), a junior midfielder on the Alfred University women’s lacrosse team, has been name Empire 8 Conference
Player of the Week.

Garcia set a new career-high of 10 points, netting seven goals and dishing out three assists, in a 20-6 victory over visiting Cazenovia. Earlier in the week she notched four points on three goals and an assist in a 16-5 win over Wells College.

For the season, Garcia leads the team in goals (21), assists (nine), points (30), and groundballs (23).

Alfred returns to action, Saturday, March, 31, at 4 p.m., when they take on visiting Nazareth to open Empire 8 Conference play.
