AU student musicians slate spring recital in Miller Theater

The Alfred University Division of Performing Arts will host a program by student musicians on Sunday, April 29 at 3 p.m. in Miller Theater, Miller Performing Arts Center. The program is open to the public free of charge.

Pianists Ryan Blank of New Hartford and Katherine Turnquist of Ashville will be performing works by Chopin, Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, and Gershwin.
Scott DeFranco-Norton of Salisbury Mills on tuba will perform movements from concertos by
Vaughan Williams and Mozart.

Valerie Boebinger of San Patricio, N.M. and Jon Ugalde of Johnstown will perform a clarinet duet, and Hunter Haddad of Putney, Vt. will perform a sonata by Frackenpohl.

The recital will conclude with a multi-percussion piece by Mike Chrabazcz of Elmira.
