AU Space and Place class to feature works in Hornell Art Walk
4/25/12

Students from the Alfred University Space and Place class will be making a repeat contribution to the Hornell art scene.

The class, which showcased its work during the city’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities, will present its exhibit "Spirit of a Place: Citing Hornell" at the Hornell Art Walk on Saturday, April 28, from 6-9 p.m. The walk will feature work from numerous Alfred University members, faculty, and students.

A part of the University’s Sculpture/Dimensional Studies program, the class has been working in the newly renovated Hornell Arts Center (formerly the downtown Ponderosa building), 58 Broadway, and this exhibit will display a series of site-specific installations inspired by and engaging various parts of the city.
