AU set to send 20 athletes to ECAC outdoor track and field championships 5/15/12
The following members of the AU men’s team qualified to compete in individual events at the ECAC championships: Senior Rich Scott (Eden, NY/Eden), 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash; and sophomore Isaiah Cassin (Candor, NY/Candor), high jump. Senior Justin Shardlow (Alfred Station, NY/Alfred-Almond), junior Chris Lopez (Rochester, NY/Pittsford-Sutherland), freshman Tyler Robinson (Lockport, NY/Lockport) and junior Jeremy Weaver (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic) qualified in the 4X100-meter relay, with junior Shane Stadtmueller (Red Creek, NY/Red Creek) serving as an alternate. Scott, senior Randy Brito (New York, NY/Cardinal Hayes), Weaver, and freshman Nolan Rummel (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) qualified in the 4X400-meter relay, with freshman Sean Locker (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post West) serving as an alternate. Sophomores Rebecca Graudons (Mayfield, NY/Mayfield), in the pole vault, and Chelsea Hall (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island), in the heptathlon, qualified from the Alfred women’s team in individual events. The following members of the AU women’s team qualified to compete in relays: junior Jordyn Larkins (Rochester, NY/Harley-Allendale-Columbia), freshmen Miasia Hillman (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech) and Patricia Banahene (Rochester, NY/Brighton) and sophomore Corine Pettit (Strykersville, NY/Holland) in the 4X100-meter relay; and junior Erin Johnstone (West Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta), senior Elisabeth Phillips-Jones (Watertown, MA/Watertown), junior Amy Morrissey (Hornell, NY/Hornell) and freshman Tracie Forrester (Gainesville, NY/Letchworth) in the 4X800-meter relay. |
