Alfred University (AU) will host a weeklong, co-ed swim camp for students entering grades seven-12, Sunday, July 8-Friday, July 13.

The camp program includes technical instruction, stretching and dry land training, training principles, stroke development, advanced workouts for competitive swimmers who are in training and fun recreational activities.

Camp practice sessions will take place in the 25-yard, indoor, competition pool located the University’s McLane Center. Campers will be videotaped and receive a DVD with stroke analysis along with a camp T-shirt.

The camp offers a $445 residential experience or a $295 commuter/day rate. A $100 camp deposit and enrollment form is due by Friday, June 1.

Residential campers will stay in University residence halls and enjoy all-you-can-eat, cafeteria-style meals from the Powell Dining Hall. University resident directors and resident assistants will serve as camp counselors, positive role models, mentors, and friends during the week.

Once enrolled, swimmers will receive several forms including a swimming experience questionnaire, medical information, liability releases, and emergency contact records.

These forms must be filled out and mailed to the Office of Summer Programs, Alfred University, 1 Saxon Drive, Alfred, NY 14802 by Friday, June 15.
