ALFRED, NY — Three members of 2012  Alfred University men’s tennis team have been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for excellence in the classroom.

The ITA recently announced its all-academic teams and Scholar Athletes from the 2011-12 academic year. Scholar athletes are varsity letterwinning team member who have a GPA of at least 3.50.

The three members of the Saxon men’s team named ITA Scholar Athletes were: senior Nathan Garletts (Havertown, PA/Haverford), junior Stefan Nonnenmann (New Providence, NJ/New Providence), and sophomore Eric Teller (Granville, NY/ Granville).
