AU cross country teams compete at Yellowjacket Invitational

ROCHESTER, NY -- The Alfred University men’s and women’s team competed Saturday at the Yellowjacket Invitational meet, hosted by the University of Rochester. The Alfred men, running on an eight-kilometer course, placed 23rd, while the AU women took 22nd on the six-kilometer course.

Junior Nolan Rummell (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) was the top runner for the Alfred men, taking 141st place in 29:59.40. Junior Eddie Potter was 151st (31:33.30) and freshman Ethan Foster (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg) was 152nd (21:33.80).

The top runner for the Alfred women was sophomore Tracie Forrester (Gainesville, NY/Letchworth), who took 144th in 27:26.70. Freshman Morgan Flick (Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) was 145th in 28:03.40 and sophomore Alyssa Goot (Cassadaga, NY/Fredonia) was 146th in 28:09.20.

The AU men’s and women’s teams are in action next on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Houghton College’s Highlander Invitational.
