ALFRED,NY-  The Alfred University men’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision against SUNY Geneseo, Tuesday evening at Merrill field.

For the game, AU (2-7-0, 0-2-0 Empire 8) played Geneseo statistically even as they both posted nine shots and 8 corner kicks, but the Saxons could not find the back of the net.

Freshman Matthew Unick (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) minded net for Alfred for the full 90 minutes and had a save.   

Alfred travels to Ithaca College Saturday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. to resume conference play.
