ALFRED,NY-  The Alfred University men’s soccer team dropped a 1-3 decision to visiting Morrisville State, Tuesday evening on Merrill Field.

Alfred struck first, in the 30^th minute, when freshman midfielder Nicholas Carey (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) beat the goalie off a pass from senior forward Eric Rockwood (Allegany, NY/Allegany-Limestone).  The Saxons could not find the net as Morrisville crept back into the game.

Junior keeper Samuel Guy (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) went the full distance in net for AU posting five saves.

AU resumes conference play against St. John Fisher Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m.
