Materials science/engineering major awarded American Ceramic Society scholarship
Alfred University student Samuel A. Miller has been awarded the 2012 Lewis C. Hoffman Scholarship by the Electronics Division of the American Ceramic Society.
His essay on environmentally benign electronic ceramics, total grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and a faculty recommendation letter were all criteria factored into the selection of the winner. Along with a plaque, Miller received a $2,000 scholarship.
Miller is a senior materials science and engineering major from Kinsman, Ohio, He is a son of Aaron and Melissa Miller and a graduate of Badger High School.
