PITTSFORD,NY-  The Alfred University men’s basketball team lost a 85-40 decision to St. John Fisher College in their Empire 8 conference opener.

Senior forward Sean Curran (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) paced the Saxons with a team-high 16 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds

For the game, Alfred shot 27 percent from the field, 20 percent from the 3-point line, and 50 percent from the line.

AU (2-5-0, 0-1-0 Empire 8) faces off against Morrisville State, Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m.
