AU edged by Pitt-Bradford in OT, 1-0

ALFRED, NY-  The Alfred University men’s soccer team fell short to Pitt-Bradford, 1-0, Wednesday evening in their home opener. This loss drops the Saxons to 1-2 on the season.

The Saxons controlled the pace of the game, outshooting the Panthers 25-5 and holding a eight to two corner kick advantage. The winning goal was netted at the 101st minute by Pitt-Bradford.

Senior goalie Samuel Guy (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) went the full 101 minutes in goal for AU, grabbing four saves. Adam Forster had a game-high 12 saves for Pitt-Bradford.

Alfred returns to action Saturday, Sept. 7, at 4 p.m. at SUNY Canton for a non-conference matchup.
