AU night in Boston!
5/01/14

Last week E-News announced that Patrick Owen Linders, AU Class of 2009, has been selected to be featured in the “30 Under 30: Spotlight Six,” an art exhibition opening with a public reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA.

Owen contacted us this week to say it looks like May 8 will be an AU night in Boston. That same evening, beginning at 8 p.m. about a mile from the Arsenal Center, The Ghost of Paul Revere band will be a featured group at The Sinclair, 52 Church St. (607.547.5200) “Ghost” includes members Max Davis and Griffin Sherry, childhood friends and members of the AU Class of 2010.

The four-member band’s music has been described as a “Robustly played, masterful amalgamation of bluegrass, folk, and gospel for the Millennial Generation… The Ghost of Paul Revere proves that superior roots music can come from anywhere.” The Ghost of Paul Revere is touted as Maine’s “premier holler-folk band.”

The Sinclair seating is general admission standing room only. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800.745.3000, or by cash only at The Sinclair box office Tuesdays-Saturdays from noon-7 p.m.

Owen Linder’s exhibition, the “Spotlight Six,” takes a closer look at six of the participating artists from “30 Under 30” – an exhibit designed to display and encourage the dialogue of artists 30 years or younger in the Boston area. The show runs through Wednesday, May 28.

The Arsenal Center Gallery is open Tuesdays-Sundays from noon-6 p.m. for more about the exhibit, please visit: http://arsenalarts.org/visual/ (copy and paste into your browser; does take a few minutes to download) or call 617.923.0100.
