Special needs

Care packages from home
Families may request "Gifts from Home" services for their students for birthdays, finals, or any time. Call 607.871.2197 or email us.

Going green
Based on students requests, Alfred University has joined a growing number of campuses that are eliminating trays from their dining areas in order to reduce food and beverage waste. Read more about AU's "trayless" initiative >>>

Facilities
Two main dining halls, Ade and Powell, are supplemented by the Cyberfresh Cafe in the Campus Center and the "after-hours" MidKnight Express in Ade Hall. Both cafes provide a casual setting for lingering with friends over pizza, deli sandwiches and wraps, big burgers, decadent desserts, smoothies, or coffee

Meal Plans
All students who live in residence halls are required to participate in a board plan with the exception of seniors, graduate students, or residents of the Ford Street apartment complex.

First year students have a choice of three meal plans with up to 300, 250, or 200 meals per semester. All plans come with $125 in “dining dollars” which can be used in our retail locations, and students can add dining dollars to any plan. More meal plan information >>>
