Room Assignments Incoming (freshman and transfer) students are required to fill out a Housing Questionnaire which helps us to make room assignments that are compatible with student preferences. This Questionnaire is sent via U.S. Mail along with the Housing/Dining Contract once a student has sent in their deposit holding their place in the class. Room assignments are made by computer, based on the compatibility of information on the Questionnaire. Priority is given based on the date of receipt of both the Questionnaire and the Housing/Dining Contract. We request that you return these forms as soon as possible and we stress that you be honest on the Questionnaire. Current returning students have first choice of space in the residence halls according to an assigned lottery number and we find that they generally fill singles and the Ford Street Apartments. Incoming transfer students may request these accommodations but should include other choices. Students may select a specific roommate, however each individual must indicate the other on the Housing Preference Form. If only one student makes the request the assignment cannot be made. Roommate and hall assignment information is sent out during the first week of August. Meal Plans New first year students have a choice of three meal plans with up to 300, 250, or 200 meals per semester. All plans come with $125 in “dining dollars” which can be used in our retail locations, and students can add dining dollars to any plan. More meal plan information >>> |
