Cathie L. Chester, PsyD., LMHC
Director, Counseling & Student Development Center

Dr. Chester is the administrative director of the Wellness Center's counseling, health, and wellness education services. She has provided counseling, education, training, and programming on campus since 1987. Her professional interests include learning difficulties, creativity, psychiatric disabilities, and the role of culture in mental health. Cathie's therapeutic approach is interpersonal and collaborative, emphasizing the use of student strengths in problem-solving.

Jason YoderJason Yoder, M.S.W.
Counselor

Jason holds his Masters Degree in social work and joins us from Salisbury University in Maryland. His professional interests include group work and students experiencing depression, anxiety, or difficulty adjusting to college. Jason's strengths-based therapeutic approach is both interpersonal and eclectic. Jason's spiritual beliefs and family are important to him. He also enjoys reading, journaling, and the outdoors; skiing, hiking, paddling, and reflecting.

Amber HardyAmber Hardy, Wellness Educator

Amber obtained her Masters in Counseling degree here at AU. She worked for the Council on Addiction Recovery Services in Olean, New York as a Substance Abuse counselor from 2009 – 2011. Amber is a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in Training. When she's not busy providing Wellness Education on campus, Amber enjoys spending time with her family and raising her daughter, cooking, Zumba, and being with friends.

Lily Wolf, Ms, MFTLily Wolf, Ms, MFT

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Lily Wolf has worked with a diverse array of individuals, couples and families. Her counseling approach is client-centered, systems-based and accommodates an expanded definition of "family". Some of Lily's professional interests include healthy navigation of major life transitions and events, broadening traditional notions of sexuality and reducing phsycial and psychological pain through attention-focusing practices. She received a BA in psychology from Alfred University and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Lily enjoys local, humane & sustainable cooking, Independent film and music, and being outdoors.

Kimberly O'RourkeKimberly O'Rourke
Secretary and Receptionist

Kim has been employed at Alfred University since 1990. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Support Staff of the Year award for 2003-2004. Kim enjoys meeting new students and collaborating with other Student Affairs Offices to provide programming. Kim loves to horseback ride, being outdoors, and her two lively teenage daughters.
