From the quad at the center of campus, visitors can see Alumni Hall, the oldest building on campus, beautifully refurbished to house the Admissions and Financial Aid offices, as well as Powell Campus Center, opened in 1995. Another center-of-campus feature is the statue of King Alfred, which on any given day can sport unusual costumes from pumpkins on his head to a full-body tin-foil wrap.
