Workshop Description:
Contemporary art making has been profoundly impacted by new digital technologies. This course focuses on how digital print media informs and evolves visual language for artistic expression. Providing each participant with a hands-on opportunity to explore large-format digital printing technologies, this course is designed to help create a context in which to ask questions about the nature of dynamic media relative to the making of contemporary printed images. Further experimentation across media will be investigated. These media may include: drawing, painting, photography, video, and internet interfaces, and will utilize large format ink jet technology, laser cutting, vinyl cutting and digital drawing.
