Rebecca Streeten joined Alfred University as the 10th head coach in women's lacrosse history in October of 2020.
Streeten comes to the Magic Valley with experiences at a pair of perennial lacrosse powers in William Smith and Colby College, and head coaching experience at Empire 8 foe Elmira. At Elmira, Streeten arrived in 2019 and retooled the women’s lacrosse program, growing the number of student-athletes on the team while also staying competitive in the Empire 8 conference. In year one, she coached talented first-year Mikayla Carfello, who led the team with 26 points, via 24 goals and two assists. The 24 goals were the most for an Elmira rookie since 2016. This past season, Streeten and the Soaring Eagles posted an impressive road win at the University of Dallas, before the COVID-19 pandemic prematurely ended the season.
