The Alfred University Theater Department, Division of Performing Arts, will hold a staged reading on voting rights on Saturday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Miller Theater.

Alfred University is well represented at this week’s 2022 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) Conference, which opened Wednesday, March 16, in Sacramento, CA, and runs through Saturday, March 19. A number of Alfred University alumni, faculty, and students are taking part in the four-day event.

The Alfred University Jazz Ensemble will perform its spring Jazz Café Concert on Monday, March 21, at 6 p.m. in Nevins Lounge of the Knight Club, Powell Campus Center.

Alfred University’s Fosdick-Nelson Gallery, located in Harder Hall, will open the exhibition Signals of Agency, on Friday, Feb. 18. The exhibition is curated by Eric Souther and features artwork by Jason Bernagozzi, Sabrina Ratte, Benjamin Rosenthal and Marcos Serafim.

Alfred University’s Cohen Gallery Thursday celebrated the re-opening of The Shop at Cohen Gallery, together with a reception for the Gallery’s hosting of Assistant Professor of Sculpture Joann Quiñones’ exhibition, Nuyorican.

Lauren Lake, Dean of Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, this week joined the 110th College Art Association Annual Conference as a member of a panel discussing the topic “Reciprocal Obligation: Strategies for Productive Conversations about Complexity, Contingency and Difference.” Lake presented “CO-SPACE: Collaboration, Cooperation, Community” for the panel discussion.
