Dan Napolitano ’93, MSEd ’98 named Chief of Staff of The New School

Dan Napolitano ’93, MSEd ’98 will depart Alfred University after 28 years of employment to become the Chief of Staff for The New School in Manhattan, New York City, effective May 2.

Alfred Summer Arts: Making Meaning in an Uncertain World

Alfred Summer Arts 2022 features four week-long arts workshops in a variety of media areas designed for participants working at all levels: artists, teachers, community members and visiting professionals. Week three will feature an immersive five-day festival designed to embrace the creativity of the community in collaboration with local and international visiting artists.

MFA thesis exhibitions include virtual artist talks

ALFRED, NY – Candidates for Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Alfred University School of Art and Design will present their thesis projects in exhibitions beginning Saturday, April 9. In addition to their exhibitions, several candidate opted to give virtual gallery talks.

Senior Shows returning to in-person exhibitions; digital tours an added bonus

"Department Story" opens in Hornell with support from Alfred University Trustee Bill Pullman, Big Town Productions

Department Story, a collaboration between Alfred University’s Performing Arts Division and Big Telly Theater Company, of Portstewart, Northern Ireland, opened Thursday in the former Peebles store space, on Hornell’s Broadway Mall. Performances continue tonight and Saturday, April 9 at 7pm.

Hornell Public Library celebrating International Year of Glass with exhibition, reception, raffle

The International Year of Glass will be celebrated Friday, April 22, in Hornell, when the Hornell Public Library hosts a reception and exhibition of glass art submitted by Alfred University students and faculty. The event, from 6 to 8 pm, will include a raffle for a glass vase donated to the Library by Angus Powers, Professor of Glass at Alfred University.
