Seniors on the Alfred University softball team were honored at mini-commencement ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the McLane Center. The ceremony was held because the team is competing in an NCAA Division III Regional in Virginia May 15-17 and may miss Commencement, which is scheduled for Saturday morning, May 17. Seniors shown above at Tuesday’s mini-commencement are, from left: Sarah Ramirez, graduate assistant coach (mental health counseling), and players Ty Thomas (political science), Abigail Gatza (mechanical engineering), Darby McEnery (criminal justice studies), and Meghan Neto (biology).

Alfred University holds ceremony unveiling Cohen National Casting Center Foundry

On Thursday, May 15, Alfred University hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a state-of-the-art on-campus foundry, which will create new intersectional opportunities for art and engineering students. The facility was officially named the Cohen National Casting Center Foundry, in honor of Michele Cohen HD '18, Alfred University trustee, and her husband, Martin, whose $6 million gift made the foundry project possible.

MostArts Festival welcoming Karén Hakobyan to conduct the International MostArts Orchestra

Golf Classic Under Construction -- Attend Alfred University Alumni Celebration

The Alfred University Athletic Department announces that the Saxon Golf Classic will be paused for one year to reconstruct the event for greater future success. The annual event, held during the Alfred University reunion weekend, will resume in 2026 at the Wellsville Country Club.
