Alfred University alumnus Dhiraj Nayar '90 Named COO of Boston Globe Media Partners

Dhiraj Nayar, a 1990 graduate of Alfred University, has been appointed chief operating officer for Boston Globe Media Partners. Nayar is also chief financial officer at the company, a position he has held for nearly three years.


Dhiraj Nayar, a 1990 graduate of Alfred University, has been appointed chief operating officer for Boston Globe Media Partners. Nayar is also chief financial officer at the company, a position he has held for nearly three years.

Nayar earned a B.S. degree in ceramic engineering from Alfred University in 1990 and went on to receive as MBA from Columbia University. He has been at Boston Globe Media—which publishes the Boston Globe, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected newspapers—since April 2018.

Before coming to Boston Globe Media, Nayar was managing director at Meritum Partners, an advisory firm he founded in 2008, specializing in providing procurement optimization, globalization, operational analytics, and growth strategy services. He has also held positions of principal/partner at Opera Solutions, a global provider of AI solutions; senior manager at information technology services firm Zeborg, Inc.; and senior consultant for management consulting firm AT Kearney.
