Professor of Dance D. Chase Angier secure fifth NYSCA/DanceForce grant

Alfred University Professor of Dance D. Chase Angier recently received her fifth NYSCA/DanceForce grant for her proposal TOKIMEKI BLUE, a multimedia dance installation created by Cameron McKinney and Cayla Mae Simpson in the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery.


Alfred University Professor of Dance D. Chase Angier recently received her fifth NYSCA/DanceForce grant for her proposal TOKIMEKI BLUE, a multimedia dance installation created by Cameron McKinney and Cayla Mae Simpson in the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery.

This project follows the successful creation of On the Rise: Young Choreographers of Color, curated by Cameron McKinney and created with five choreographers and film maker Cayla Mae Simpson that was presented last Fall.

Angier's previous New York State Arts Council / DanceForce grant awards supported the live and filmed performances by Brian Brooks and Wendy Whelan, Eiko Otake, Saakumu dance troupe, Cameron McKinney, Kayla Farrish, Brother(hood) Dance! (Orlando Hunter and Ricarrdo Valentine), Kameron N. Saunders, and Cayla Mae Simpson.
