Alfred University professor Sundaram named Fellow in ASM International

S.K. Sundaram, Inamori Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Alfred University, has been elected a Fellow by ASM International, a society of materials scientists and engineers.
ALFRED, NY – S.K. Sundaram, Inamori Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Alfred University, has been elected a Fellow by ASM International, a society of materials scientists and engineers.
ASM International, formerly known as the American Society for Metals, is dedicated to informing, educating, and connecting the materials community to solve problems and stimulate innovation around the world. ASM established the honor of Fellow of the Society in 1969 to provide recognition to members for their distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering.
Sundaram and other 2021 ASM International Fellows will be honored at the IMAT ’22 (International Materials Applications and Technologies), ASM’s annual meeting, scheduled for Sept. 13-16, 2022, in New Orleans. Originally, honorees were to be recognized at IMAT ’21, which had been scheduled for this September in St. Louis, but the event was postponed.
