Maureen Weiss, Associate Professor of Performance Design and Technology in the Performing Arts Division of Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, curated and designed an interactive performance piece this summer, based on interviews done during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Maureen Weiss, Associate Professor of Performance Design and Technology in the Performing Arts Division of Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, curated and designed an interactive performance piece this summer, based on interviews done during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The show, "Rooms: Tiny Openings," premiered Aug. 1 at The Santa Monica Airport and was sponsored by 18th Street Arts and SeaChange Labs. The performance was a collaborative installation that involved 5 scenic designers, two sound designers, and a live performer.
In addition to her work at Alfred University, Weiss serves as Artistic Director of The PopWagon, a mobile theatre wagon based in Los Angeles.
