Alfred University professor Xingwu Wang recognized by IEEE as Life Senior Member

Xingwu Wang, professor of electrical engineering and renewable energy engineering at Alfred University, has earned Life Senior Member status with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).


ALFRED, NY – Xingwu Wang, professor of electrical engineering and renewable energy engineering at Alfred University, has earned Life Senior Member status with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Life members are recognized for sustained and lasting contributions to IEEE through professional achievements in technology, which create significant impact on the growth and development of organization. IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

Wang was appointed assistant professor of electrical engineering at Alfred University in 1988 and in 1993 became associate professor. He was named a professor of electrical engineering in 1997. He earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Harbin Engineering University (China) in 1978; an M.S. degree in physics from Hangzhou University (China) in 1981; and a doctorate degree in physics from the University at Buffalo in 1987.
