Serving as auctioneers for the Oct. 29 event: glass artist Therman Statom and Alfred University Professor of Glass Angus Powers.

During the 2022 Black Glass Artist Series, glass artists will lead workshops and lecture on their work and experience. The series has been spearheaded by Adeye Jean-Baptiste, a third-year student at Alfred University.

“Adeye has traveled the country making glass arts connections and has put forth a proposal to diversify mentorship and representation of glass artists,” says Dan Napolitano, Associate Dean of the School of Art and Design. “She has impressively connected Alfred Univerwsity with these artists and has a big vision for Alfred and beyond.”
