Alfred University Professor of English Rob Reginio will deliver the Nov. 11 Bergren Forum, speaking on the outlaw ballads of Bob Dylan.
The winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, Dylan has written numerous outlaw ballads through the course of his career as songwriter and performer. Reginio’s Bergren Forum will survey Dylan’s work in the genre and closely examine one ballad to study Dylan’s reimagining of the outlaw tradition in music.
In addition to his study of Dylan, Reginio is also a scholar of Samuel Becket. His additional scholarly interests include critical theory, women and gender studies, American and European Modernism, and Africana Studies.
