First annual 'Light Matter' festival opens Nov. 12 in Harder Hall

Alfred University will host the first annual Light Matter festival beginning Friday, Nov. 12 and extending through Sunday, Nov. 14 in Holmes Auditorium and the Time Space Interface/Harland Snodgrass Gallery, in Harder Hall.
ALFRED – Alfred University will host the first annual Light Matter festival beginning Friday, Nov. 12 and extending through Sunday, Nov. 14 in Holmes Auditorium and the Time Space Interface/Harland Snodgrass Gallery, in Harder Hall. The moving image arts festival, dedicated to experimental film and media arts, is co-programmed by James Hansen and Eric Souther, assistant professors in Alfred University’s School of Art and Design.
Exhibits will be held at 5:30 pm Nov. 12; 7:15 pm Nov. 13; and noon Nov. 14.
Experimental short films from around the world will be shown, including four world premieres, four U.S. premieres, and four New York state premieres.
