ALFRED, NY – Alfred University held a virtual commencement ceremony on December 4, 2021, to recognize 31 graduates who earned a Master’s in Public Administration degrees through the University’s AU-NY program.

The 31 Master’s in Public Administration graduates completed their degree requirements completely online over 15 months. It marks the first time an AU-NY master’s degree program was completed entirely online. In addition to the master’s degree recipients, 50 students completed Certificates of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling, while three others earned Certificates of Advanced Study in School Counseling.

The AU-NY program offers master’s degree programs in School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, and Public Administration, as well as Advanced Certification programs in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, at Alfred University’s satellite campuses in the New York City metropolitan area.

Most students in the AU-NY program are non-traditional students—professionals, many with families, working as counselors and administrators in the public education and health care fields while pursuing their graduate degrees.
