Associate Professor of Light Sarah Blood featured in renowned publications

Associate Professor of Light Sarah Blood, who teaches in Sculpture /Dimensional Studies in the School of Art & Design, is featured in two publications: Crafts Magazine and Glass Network.


Associate Professor of Light Sarah Blood, who teaches in Sculpture /Dimensional Studies in the School of Art & Design, is featured in two publications: Crafts magazine and Glass Network.

"A Light Touch" appears in issue 292, "Ways of Seeing," in Crafts, a magazine published by Crafts Council in the UK. The article examines making neon, an "intricate and labour intensive craft," and features Sarah Blood as both a professor teaching neon at the university level and as an artist member of "She Bends," a "network of womxn bending their own neon art."

Glass Network is published by the Contemporary Glass Society, the UK’s foremost organization supporting both established glass artists and up-and-coming makers. Issue #79 focuses on color, and features Blood's work on the cover in addition to her article "Interactions," which explores her work, "motivated and guided by the interplay of colour and light."
