Jessica Domino, visiting assistant professor of geology, will present the Thursday, Feb. 10, Bergren Forum: Shake and Bake: How Natural Hazards Help Us Understand Earth.

She writes: “Earthquakes and volcanoes are some of the most feared natural disasters on Earth, but what can we learn from them? While destructive, these natural processes have given geologists insight to Earth’s internal structure and formation, but also keys to the future for natural hazard assessment."

The Bergren Forum weekly lecture series is held at 12:10 pm Thursdays and is currently carried on the Zoom platform. The Zoom link for Bergren forums may be obtained by e-mailing Marilyn Saxton.
