MFA exhibitions to open next month
Alfred University’s School of Art and Design next month will host the University’s annual MFA exhibits highlighting the artistic achievement of students receiving the Master of Fine Arts degree in the spring Commencement ceremony.
Alfred University’s School of Art and Design next month will host the University’s annual MFA exhibits highlighting the artistic achievement of students receiving the Master of Fine Arts degree in the spring Commencement ceremony.
The exhibitions open April 9 and will extend through May 6. Exhibition hours are 6 to 8 pm on April 9, 16, 23 and 30, and on May 6. An IG Live event in Germany will be shown from 10 am to noon May 7 showcasing MFA students’ achievements in painting.
Alfred University campus venues for the exhibitions are the Fosdick-Neslon Gallery, the Robert C. Turner Gallery, and the Cohen Gallery. The University’s studio facility in Dusseldorf, Ger., will host the work of MFA students in the graduate Painting program. In addition to Painting, the following MFA programs will be represented in the exhibition: Division of Ceramic Art (CA), Electronic Integrated Arts (EIA), Sculpture / Dimensional Studies (SDS).
An online catalog of graduate student work will be posted a week after Commencement at this website.
